PETRONAS University is conducting a professional development course for educators and students from Turkmenistan

From the 19 th to 22 nd of October, a professor from PETRONAS university of technology (Malaysia) is conducting an online professional development course for students and young faculty members from the faculty of energy and engineering structures at the International oil and gas university named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev.
During sessions focused on the topic of «Energy systems analysis», participants are provided with detailed and up-to-date information on modern, innovative technologies and new methods applied in this field.
Upon completion of the courses, participants will be awarded special certificates from PETRONAS university of technology.
The professional development course is organized in accordance with the Memorandum of understanding between the International oil and gas university named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, and PETRONAS university of technology.
Based on the memorandum, the parties have been successfully engaged in effective cooperation in the fields of science and education for several years.
At the PETRONAS university of technology in Malaysia, students and young faculty members from a Turkmen university annually undergo summer academic and industrial training, consistently enhancing their professional qualifications. In addition, faculty members from PETRONAS university regularly organise general training sessions on various topics, as well as online courses and workshops focused on the implementation of innovative technologies and digital systems used in the oil and gas industry.
Under the memorandum, several series of training sessions conducted both remotely and in person are planned for the 2026–2027 academic year, led by professors from PETRONAS university of technology. The sessions will focus on the development of the oil and gas industry, the implementation of artificial intelligence, and chemistry and processing.
