Noah Kahan Reacts to First Kids’ Choice Award Nomination: ‘Holy Sh– I Finally Did It’

The "Stick Season" singer is already imagining the Nickelodeon slime dripping into his eyes and nostrils.
Noah Kahan is so close to being able to cross “Get covered in green slime” off his bucket list.
The singer/songwriter celebrated his nomination for the 2026 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with a tongue-in-cheek post on X, joking that a decade of hard work led him to this moment.
“Holy sh– I finally did it,” Kahan wrote. “After 10 years of tireless effort / Long flights, hundreds of hours in the studio. I did it / I’m nominated for a Nick Kids’ Choice Award.”
And it seems like the nomination isn’t the most exciting part, at least to Kahan. “I’m finally gonna get slimed,” he continued, before imagining the messy reality of the Nickelodeon tradition. “I can feel it dripping down my scalp and into my eyes and nostrils,” he wrote. “It tastes.. like freedom.”
Other artists might dream of adding another trophy to their shelves, but Kahan is ready to embrace a different kind of achievement: getting drenched in Nickelodeon’s signature green goo.
The nomination comes after a remarkable few years for Kahan, whose career reached new heights with his 2022 album Stick Season . The project initially debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 before climbing to a No. 2 peak in 2024, following the release of its expanded editions. Its title track also became a major hit, helping introduce Kahan’s folk-pop sound to a much wider audience. More recently, his single “The Great Divide” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 , making it his highest-charting hit on the list to date.
Now, Kahan is up for favorite male breakout artist/group at the 2026 Kids’ Choice Awards, alongside BigXthaPlug , Don Toliver , Role Model , Sombr and Temper City .
The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14.
