The fifth-generation “Lexus RX” has undergone a planned update. The updated crossover, launched in the Japanese market, features minor exterior changes, an expanded range of colors and new equipment features. One of the key updates is the retuning of the chassis.

The fifth-generation “Lexus RX”, introduced in 2022, did not undergo major design changes as part of the current modernization. Instead, the manufacturer focused on improving the vehicle’s driving characteristics and everyday usability.

A “White Nova Glass Flake” pearl-white color has been added to the “L” grade. For the “F Sport” and “F Sport Performance” versions, red-painted brake calipers are now available as an additional option. In addition, all versions are now equipped with athermal front-door glass that provides protection against infrared radiation.

Several changes have also been made to the crossover’s electronic systems. The “Autohold” function, known as “Brake Hold”, has received a memory feature. This means that there is no longer a need to manually reactivate the function every time the engine is restarted.

The standard equipment of the “RX350” and “RX350h” models now also includes a digital rear-view mirror and a drive recorder that records the area in front of and behind the vehicle. Previously, these features were available as standard equipment only on the higher-grade “RX500h” and “RX450h+” versions.

One of the main focuses of the update was improving the vehicle’s driving characteristics. To develop the new chassis settings, the vehicle was also tested at the famous Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.

The adaptive suspension settings were revised. In addition, the operating algorithms of the electric power steering system and four-wheel steering system were improved. According to the manufacturer, these changes are intended to provide a more precise and natural response to steering inputs.

At the same time, the “Lexus RX” is reported to have retained its previous level of ride comfort on uneven and rough road sections. Thus, the update is aimed at enhancing the vehicle’s sporty characteristics while maintaining comfort during everyday driving.

Prices for the updated “Lexus RX” in Japan vary depending on the selected version and trim level. The front-wheel-drive “RX350” with a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine starts at 7.04 million yen. The front-wheel-drive “RX350h” hybrid is priced at 8 million yen, while the all-wheel-drive “RX500h” hybrid is priced at 9.29 million yen.

Thus, the updated “Lexus RX” has entered the market with a modernization focused not on major exterior changes, but rather on technical adjustments, driving characteristics and everyday usability.
