Nearly 5.3 thousand new jobs to be created in Turkmenistan by the end of the year

Turkmenistan expects to create nearly 5,300 new jobs by the end of 2026. The new employment opportunities will be generated through the construction of new production facilities and the modernization of existing enterprises.
In Turkmenistan, the number of newly created jobs is expected to reach nearly 5,300 by the end of 2026. This was stated by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on September 23 in his speech at the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.
According to the Head of State, the creation of new jobs is ensured through activities related to the construction of new production enterprises and the modernization of existing ones.
"Through the construction of new enterprises and the modernization of existing ones across the country, the number of newly created jobs by the end of this year will be nearly 5,300," President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted.
The work on creating new jobs is carried out within the framework of the "Concept for the Development of the Labor Market of Turkmenistan until 2030." This document provides for the continuation of relevant measures to increase employment, expand labor market opportunities, and encourage the creation of new jobs in the future.
During the meeting, information was also provided on the increase of production capacities in the key sectors of Turkmenistan's economy. According to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the GDP growth rate of the country is expected to be at 6.3 percent based on the results of 2026.
It was also noted that new jobs will be created in connection with the fourth stage of the development of the "Galkynysh" gas field. Within the framework of this project, new jobs for more than 1,000 people are expected to be created in the near future.
Increasing the number of jobs through the commissioning of new industries and the modernization of existing enterprises is one of the important areas of Turkmenistan's economic development programs.
