Turkmenistan’s Arkadag football club beat Iran’s Gol Gohar 1–0 in the fourth group-stage match of the 2026/27 AFC Champions League Two. Ahmet Atayew scored the only goal in the 77th minute.
It was Arkadag’s second win in Group B. After four matches, the team coached by Vladimir Bayramov has seven points. Gol Gohar, with two points, remains bottom of the group.
The hosts had a slight edge. In the first half, Resul Hojayew stood out with dangerous shots: in the 4th minute his powerful effort went over the bar, and four minutes before the break another of his shots flew wide of the top corner. The visitors created a chance in the 19th minute, but Arkadag goalkeeper Kakageldi Berdiyew leapt to push the shot away.
In the 64th minute, a Hojayew shot hit the crossbar. In the 76th, Gol Gohar goalkeeper Farzin Garousian saved an effort from Arzuwguly Sapargulyyew. A minute later, after Sapargulyyew’s cross from the left, the visiting defenders failed to clear the ball fully, and Atayew finished low with his left foot. Six minutes from time, Garousian saved his side again with his feet from another Sapargulyyew attempt.
In the remaining group matches, Arkadag will travel to Bahrain’s Al-Muharraq on November 25 and host the UAE’s Al-Jazira on December 9. The top two teams from each group advance to the round of 16, which will be played from February 9 to 18, 2027.
