Snowfall Reported in Several Regions of Russia

Snow has begun falling in Russia’s Asian regions and the Ural area. According to TASS, citing Marina Makarova, a specialist at Russia’s weather service, snow cover in many districts is expected to reach 1–5 centimetres.

Snowfall has begun in the Asian part of Russia and in the Ural region. TASS reported this, citing Marina Makarova, a senior research fellow at the Russian Hydrometeorological Centre.

According to the specialist, snow cover is expected to reach a depth of 1–5 centimetres in most districts of the country.

Marina Makarova also noted that an autumn-like transitional period is still continuing across much of Russia. Therefore, despite snowfall in some regions, it is too early to conclude that winter has fully begun across the country.
