President of Turkmenistan Holds Government Meeting on the Results of Ten Months

Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a digital Cabinet of Ministers meeting that summed up the country’s work for January–October.
Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov today held a Cabinet of Ministers meeting via digital link. It summed up the work done in the country over the first ten months of this year. The news was reported by the “Watan” program.
The floor was first given to the Chairperson of the Mejlis, D. Gulmanova, who reported on the Mejlis’s work in January–October. During this period, 8 laws of Turkmenistan were adopted, including the laws “On establishing the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan ‘To a Participant of the Ceremonial Military Parade Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence’” and “On the State Protection of Akhal-Teke Horses in Turkmenistan”, along with 15 Mejlis resolutions. Amendments and additions were also made to existing laws covering the protection of citizens’ rights and legitimate interests, industrial safety of production facilities, accounting and financial reporting, roads and road activity, protection of the environment and aquatic biological resources, and the effectiveness of migration policy.
The President stressed the importance of work to strengthen the legal foundation of a strong democratic state and to keep improving the country’s legislation.
The deputy prime ministers then reported on the work done over ten months in the bodies they oversee and its results. They covered measures for further developing sectors of the national economy, the fulfillment of earlier instructions, and events in the cultural and humanitarian fields, foreign policy and other areas.
After hearing the reports, the President gave officials specific instructions on work in various sectors of the economy and on the tasks of further developing them, including in connection with international relations. The meeting also considered several other important matters of state life, and decisions were taken on them.
