Swift’s Toy Story 5 soundtrack contribution leads challengers from Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Practical Magic 2 .

Taylor Swift ’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” spends its fourth month at No. 1 on Billboard ’s Top Movie Songs chart, powered by Tunefind (a Songtradr company), continuing the Toy Story 5 cut’s dominance into the fall via its September 2026 reign.

Rankings for the Top Movie Songs chart are based on song and film data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate during the corresponding period of September 2026. The ranking generally includes newly released films from the preceding three months, with exceptions given to movies whose music is still experiencing a high volume of public interest.

“I Knew It, I Knew You,” Swift’s contribution to the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, was released on June 5 ahead of the film’s June 19 theatrical premiere. In addition to its rule of the June, July and August 2026 Top Movie Songs lists, it bowed at No. 1 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 dated June 20, leading for two weeks. The song spent the entirety of September 2026 in the chart’s top 10, including three frames at No. 3.

In September 2026, “I Knew It, I Knew You” earned 40.5 million official streams and sold 7,000 downloads in the United States, according to Luminate.

As with the August 2026 Top Movie Songs ranking, September 2026’s edition features multiple tracks heard in Spider-Man: Brand New Day , paced by Tame Impala ’s “Loser” at No. 2. The superhero flick, released July 31, spurred streaming, sales and even radio gains for multiple songs featured in the film, with “Loser” its biggest benefactor, as the 2025 song reached a new peak of No. 18 on the Hot 100 dated Aug. 29; it spent September 2026 within the survey’s top 25.

“Loser” earned 43.6 million streams and sold 3,000 downloads in September 2026, followed by fellow Spider-Man synchs “Oh Yeah?” by Steve Lacy (No. 4; 37.8 million streams, 1,000 downloads) and “EoO” by Bad Bunny (No. 6; 22.7 million streams, 1,000 downloads).

Practical Magic 2 , the sequel to the cult-favorite original from 1998, boasts the biggest splash from a newly released movie (Sept. 10) on the latest Top Movie Songs chart, appearing on the list twice, led by Fleetwood Mac ’s “Landslide” (No. 3; 27.5 million streams, 3,000 downloads) and followed by King Harvest’s “Dancing in the Moonlight” (No. 8; 12.4 million streams, 1,000 downloads).
