Turkmenistan’s Delegation Participates in “C5+1” Digital Innovation Forum in Astana

A Turkmen delegation is participating in a digital innovation meeting under the C5+1 multilateral cooperation format between Central Asian countries and the United States in Astana.

A delegation from Turkmenistan is participating in a forum on digital innovation being held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the “C5+1” multilateral cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the United States.

The delegation, headed by Deputy Minister of Communications of Turkmenistan Y. Gulmammedov, is taking part in discussions on the development of digital innovation, the contribution of advanced technologies to economic development, and opportunities for expanding international cooperation in this area.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the forum is attended by heads and representatives of relevant government agencies from the Central Asian states and the United States, as well as representatives of partner organizations such as DFC, CRDF Global, CIPE and CLDP.

Representatives of the private sector and the international expert community are also actively participating in the event, presenting modern technological solutions and their own experience. They include representatives of companies and organizations such as “Meta”, “Oracle”, “Honeywell Technologies”, “Wabtec”, “McKinsey”, “EPAM”, “Plug and Play” and “Alchemist Accelerator”.

During the forum, participants are discussing issues related to ensuring the security and reliability of advanced technologies, digitalization of the economy, priority areas for the development of artificial intelligence, as well as opportunities to further strengthen relations between states and international partners in these areas.

At the opening ceremony of the forum held on September 29, the Turkmen delegation provided information on the work being carried out in the country to develop the digital economy and introduce modern digital technologies into production and other sectors.

The Turkmen side’s presentation highlighted initiatives being implemented in this area and the results achieved, while also outlining future priority areas for the development of digital technologies.

Within the framework of the forum, discussions will continue on the development of digital innovation and artificial intelligence, the effective use of advanced technologies, as well as the expansion of international cooperation in these areas.

The “C5+1” format event serves as a platform for exchanging experience and discussing new opportunities for cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the United States in the fields of digital innovation, technology and artificial intelligence.
