Rodrigo's you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love and MCR's 20th anniversary reissue of The Black Parade are vying for high ranks at the top of the album tally.

Count Olivia Rodrigo in on defeating your demons and all those non-believers. The “Drop Dead” singer was in her emo sweet spot in an Instagram Story on Wednesday (Oct. 28) featuring footage of her rocking out at a recent My Chemical Romance show on the group’s ongoing Long Live the Black Parade tour.

“🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 @mychemicalromance🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷,” she captioned the short clip of the band performing the title track from their beloved third studio album, 2006’s The Black Parade . The timing, as it turns out, was perfect, as both Rodrigo and the reformed MCR are likely contenders for high ranks on the Billboard 200 dated Nov. 6.

Rodrigo’s latest album, You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love , has spent three nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the tally, beginning on in June when it debuted at No. 1 and held the top spot for two weeks before returning to the chart peak for a third go-round on the chart dated Oct. 31, boosted by the release of a new remix of the album’s latest single, the Chappell Roan collab “Expectations.”

Meanwhile, just in time for spooky season, MCR’s The Black Parade (20th Anniversary) expanded edition could be the latest reissue to hit the top 10 this year, following buzzy reissues from The Beatles ( Rubber Soul ), Beyoncé ( B’Day ) and Mac Miller ( The Divine Feminine ). The collection that was released on Oct. 23 features the entire original album — including the band’s highest charting single to date, the No. 9 Billboard Hot 100 hit title track “Welcome to the Black Parade” — has been expanded with six bonus tracks and two live songs.

If you seem pretty sad … holds at No. 1, it would mark Rodrigo’s second-longest run on top. And if MCR nabs No. 1, it would mark the band’s first-ever chart-topping LP. The Black Parade debuted and peaked at No. 2 upon its initial release in 2006, marking the band’s highest charting set.
