Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina defended her title at the Ningbo Open in China, defeating Canada’s Leylah Fernandez 6–2, 6–2 in the final. It was her fourth title of the season and the 15th of her career.
Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina won the women's open tennis championship in Ningbo, China, successfully defending the title she claimed last year.
In the final, the 27-year-old defeated Canada's Leylah Fernandez in straight sets, winning both sets 6–2. The victory brought Rybakina her fourth trophy of the current season and the 15th of her professional career.
It is worth recalling that the Kazakhstani player also won the tournament last year, defeating Russia's Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final.
