In the coming years, Turkmenistan plans to implement a number of major projects to build new production enterprises across various industrial sectors. This was stated by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on September 23 in his speech at the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.
The Head of State noted that a modern enterprise producing construction mixtures and plasterboard products in the Koytendag etrap of the Lebap velayat will be commissioned this year.
It was also reported that the construction of a new urea production complex is underway in the Turkmenbashi etrap of the Balkan velayat. Additionally, a production complex for manufacturing mineral fertilizers is being built as part of the chemical plant in the city of Turkmenabat, Lebap velayat.

In addition, in the Dashoguz velayat, it is planned to lay the foundation for a new enterprise designed to process 60 thousand tons of industrial cottonseed per year and produce vegetable oil.
The President of Turkmenistan stated that a new production project is also being implemented within the framework of the fourth stage of the development of the "Galkynysh" gas field. As part of this stage, the construction of a modern plant designed to produce 10 billion cubic meters of commercial gas per year has been launched.
With the commissioning of the new gas production facility, more than 1,000 new jobs are expected to be created in the near future.
The Head of State noted that one of the main goals of the economic reforms carried out in Turkmenistan is to develop the country as an advanced industrial and high-tech manufacturing center.
The creation of new industries serves as one of the important directions of work aimed at expanding the opportunities for processing local raw materials, supplying the domestic market with a variety of products, and creating new jobs.
