A new phase of efforts to modernize the material and technical infrastructure of Turkmenistan’s State Concern “Turkmengas” and improve its production facilities has been launched. The relevant Resolution was signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on 23 October 2026.
In his report, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov noted that the ongoing work to upgrade the concern’s production capacity is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted supplies of natural gas to domestic consumers and international markets.
The programme предусматривает the introduction of advanced foreign technologies into production, as well as the expansion of technical service cooperation with leading global oil and gas companies.
The technical upgrading of production facilities will help improve the efficiency of the gas industry, strengthen the reliability of natural gas supplies and expand export supply capabilities.
These efforts are of considerable importance for ensuring the sustainable development of Turkmenistan’s energy sector, providing domestic consumers with a reliable supply of natural gas and strengthening the country’s position in the international energy market.
