“Beautiful China — Wonderful Xinjiang” Exhibition to Open in Ashgabat

On October 29, the State Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan will host an exhibition of paintings and photographs showcasing the culture, natural beauty and distinctive character of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The opening ceremony starts at 10:00 a.m.
On October 29, 2026, the opening ceremony of a painting and photography exhibition entitled “Beautiful China — Wonderful Xinjiang” will be held at the State Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition aims to introduce visitors to the visual arts and photography of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. It will feature works reflecting the region’s cultural diversity, natural beauty and distinctive characteristics.
The cultural event will be launched with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
The vice-chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles is expected to attend the exhibition’s opening ceremony.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. The exhibition will provide an opportunity to discover Chinese art in Ashgabat, promote cultural cooperation between the two countries, and strengthen mutual understanding between their peoples through art.
