We are making it easier to verify your AI-generated data and scale your workflows in Google Sheets. When you use the AI function to generate cell values, Gemini will now provide the exact web sources referenced directly within each individual cell. This cell-level source attribution gives you full visibility to audit, verify, and cross-reference outputs for greater trust and accuracy. Sources are attributed to each individual cell and are available in Google Sheets on the web.
In addition, upgraded processing delivers faster response times and improved cell-over-cell consistency, performing up to 55 times faster than manual entry for 500 cell tasks*. Combined with expanded capacity supporting up to 3,000 cells per request, you can summarize, categorize, and process more data in a single request.
