This annual guide supports educators, youth leaders and community organizations in teaching the history and significance of Veterans Day while honoring all who served.
As America continues its commemoration of the Nation’s 250th anniversary, this year’s guide helps learners meaningfully connect with the values of service, sacrifice and citizenship.
Explore the origins of Veterans Day, why it is observed on November 11, and how it honors all Veterans—past and present.
The guide provides flexible, age-appropriate lesson plans that help students learn about military service, civic responsibility and national history.
Engage learners with writing prompts, art projects, interviews with Veterans and service-learning opportunities designed to spark curiosity and appreciation.
