Mercury reduction information, education and communication materials ibrahim.sayibu… Thu, 22/10/2026 - 09:00 WHO is supporting the Ugandan government in phasing out mercury-containing devices in the health sector. A critical component of this support is developing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to build awareness, advocacy, and adoption of mercury-free alternatives. These IEC materials will help healthcare workers, facility managers, policymakers, and the public understand mercury risks, properly manage legacy devices, and understand the benefits of mercury-free technologies.
