NLE Choppa Interviewed by His Daughter Clover, Talks Drake, Being a Dad & Why He Has ‘Too Many’ Guns

The Memphis rapper gives fans a peek into his family life as a father of two in the Billboard Family interview.
When NLE Choppa was interviewed by his daughter, Clover, for the latest Billboard Family video that arrived on Wednesday (Sept. 30), the duo covered a myriad of topics throughout their adorably innocent chat, including the Memphis rapper naming Drake as his dream collaborator and SpongeBob SquarePants as his favorite show ever.
Clover wants to see her dad get rid of his gun collection, but it doesn’t seem like he has any plans to toss his firearms. NLE Choppa revealed that before he had kids, he would sleep next to his weapons tucked in beside him in bed. “Throw those guns away; only keep one. You have too many. Only keep one of your favorites,” she ordered her father.
The 23-year-old looks at all of his songs like they’re his children, but after being forced to pick a favorite by his baby girl, Choppa went with his 2019 hit “Walk Em Down” featuring Roddy Ricch , which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 39).
NLE Choppa confirmed he’s working on new music, but his daughter wants to collaborate with her dad on some tunes as well.
Choppa has released a handful of singles in 2026, including “No Contact,” “Light It Up,” “Slut Me Out 4,” “Shotta Flow 8” and “Set the Record Straight.”
The rapper’s last album arrived with Picasso: Sluffin SZN x Slut SZN on Christmas Eve 2024, which served as the deluxe of Slut SZN.
