Are headphones the new fashion accessory? Bose seems to think so. The audio brand and Thom Browne are giving the humble listening accessory a decidedly couture makeover with the Bose x Thom Browne QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) , a $950 collaboration that puts luxury materials and fashion firmly in the foreground.
The headphones first appeared on the runway at Thom Browne’s Fall 2026 show at San Francisco’s Legion of Honor on Feb. 6, during the designer’s GQ Bowl presentation ahead of Super Bowl LX. Models carried and wore the over-the-ear headphones alongside Browne’s signature tailoring, immediately turning a familiar piece of tech into part of the collection’s visual aesthetic.
Now, the runway curiosity is becoming a retail reality. Available for preorder Sept. 24 ahead of its Sept. 28 launch, the collaboration channels Browne’s iconic gray suit through cashmere-coated details, four-bar branding, a compact cashmere case and the designer’s signature red, white and blue stripe.

Underneath all that cashmere is a genuine Bose flagship.
The Thom Browne edition uses the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen), which Bose introduced as a new generation in 2025, with upgraded noise cancellation , lossless USB-C audio, longer battery life and improved processing.
It also brings Bose Immersive Audio plus the newer Cinema Mode, which creates a more spacious soundstage for movies and video. The headphones support phone calls through built-in microphones with background-noise reduction, while battery life reaches up to 30 hours, or 23 hours with Immersive Audio enabled.
What makes the Thom Browne version different is less about reinventing Bose’s audio technology and more about reframing it. The performance features are already part of Bose’s latest QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen), but Browne transforms the hardware into something of a tailored suit. In that sense, the collaboration makes a familiar piece of audio gear feel less like an electronic device and more like a deliberate fashion accessory.
