Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree aimed at accelerating the construction and reconstruction of roads and bridges.
According to the signed document, the Ministry of road transport is authorised to conclude relevant contracts for the design and construction of a new 546-kilometre Ashgabat-Dashoguz highway.
The project also includes the design and construction of a road bridge with a total length of 812 metres and a comprehensive modernisation of existing bridge structures along the entire route. The implementation of this infrastructure project will significantly increase the capacity of the highway connecting the capital with the northern region of the country and ensure traffic safety in accordance with international standards.
