Stella Machel is a finance and corporate strategy leader specializing in commercial strategy, operations, and financial architecture for enterprise cloud and artificial intelligence solutions. Currently leading finance for Life Sciences and Healthcare AI at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Stella has spent several years guiding the financial strategy for core AWS initiatives, previously serving as Finance Lead for Applied AI Solutions (encompassing supply chain, clean energy, and manufacturing) and as the finance owner launching AWS Supply Chain to market in 2022. Her background combines cutting-edge enterprise technology with over a decade of international banking, market risk, and global development experience across Africa and the United States, including managerial and advisory roles at Standard Bank Group, the World Bank Group, Moza Banco, and BancABC. An alumna of MIT Sloan School of Management, she blends quantitative business analytics and corporate finance with hands-on leadership. At MIT, she was part of MIT FinTech, MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition, and Sloan Fellows Women’s Committee.
