A business forum dedicated to developing trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China will take place in Shanghai on November 6–7, 2026. The event will be held as part of the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE).
The forum is being organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub-council (CPIT Shanghai), with support from TMT Consulting Group. Representatives of government institutions and business communities from both countries are expected to attend.
The main objectives of the meeting are to expand Turkmenistan–China trade and economic ties, identify new areas of cooperation, and discuss opportunities for implementing mutually beneficial projects. Particular attention will be given to industry, agriculture, modern technologies, digitalization, transport and logistics, and humanitarian cooperation.
The programme includes direct talks between Turkmen and Chinese business representatives, discussions on joint projects, exploration of investment opportunities, and various meetings involving government officials and business representatives. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the operations of leading Chinese companies and manufacturing enterprises.
The Shanghai forum aims to strengthen ties between the business communities of the two countries, increase bilateral trade turnover, and pave the way for new joint initiatives. Such events play an important role in diversifying Turkmenistan’s foreign economic relations and expanding international business cooperation.
