Tebigy Ekin Farmers' Association Carries Out Effective Work to Achieve a Rich Harvest

The hardworking employees of the Tebigy Ekin farmers' association, located in the Charjew etrap of Lebap velayat, have once again achieved impressive results in agricultural production this year and are welcoming Harvest Festival with worthy achievements. The association is consistently working to cultivate various agricultural crops, increase yields and expand production.
For the farmers' association, established in 2018, 2026 has become one of its most successful years. This year, wheat was cultivated on 400 hectares of its farmland, cotton on 100 hectares, potatoes on 268 hectares and carrots on 130 hectares.
In addition, the association has 23 hectares of fruit orchards. Grapes are grown on 9 hectares, while the remaining areas are occupied by cherry, peach, plum, sweet cherry and apple trees.
Thanks to the dedicated work of the farmers, the association has also achieved impressive results in wheat production. This year, the average yield reached 50 centners per hectare, bringing the total wheat harvest to 2,000 tonnes. Potato fields also produced 180 centners per hectare.
Greenhouses are being used effectively to develop the production of vegetables and melons. Currently, two greenhouses are operating at the association, while construction of another greenhouse is nearing completion. As production expands, the association is also increasing the scale of its export-oriented activities.
Approximately 140 people work at the Tebigy Ekin farmers' association. Modern agricultural machinery plays an important role in making their work easier and improving production efficiency. The association's technical fleet mainly consists of high-performance John Deere tractors and other specialized machinery purchased with the support of the Head of State.
In accordance with signed contracts, part of the agricultural produce is supplied to the Miwe Agricultural and Industrial Association of Lebap velayat. The remaining products are delivered to retail outlets across the region to meet the needs of the population.
The contribution of the first, fourth and fifth farming teams deserves particular recognition among the association's achievements. Their teamwork and accumulated agricultural experience help ensure a bountiful harvest.
Alongside crop production, the association also pays special attention to preserving and developing national horse-breeding traditions. Akhal-Teke horses, a source of national pride for the Turkmen people, are bred here. The horses regularly participate in seasonal races held at the velayat's equestrian sports complex and win prize-winning places.
The achievements of the Tebigy Ekin farmers' association in agricultural production demonstrate the benefits of rational land use, the introduction of modern technologies and dedicated labour. The work carried out at the association makes a valuable contribution to the country's programmes aimed at ensuring food abundance, supplying the domestic market with high-quality products and expanding export opportunities.
