Enhanced Group Acquires Controlling Interest in German Promoter DEAG Deutsche Entertainment
Billboard ·

The promotion company, which operates festivals and venues across Europe, is valued at $115 million.
Enhanced Group announced Thursday (Nov. 5) that it has acquired approximately a 77% controlling interest in the Berlin-based promotion and ticketing company DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG.
Enhanced Group will purchase its interest in the German live entertainment company for $8 per share, in a deal that values DEAG at $115 million. The new issues are subject to a lock-up period lasting for up to 12 months, with staggered release dates. Enhanced Group and DEAG expect the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2027.
“I believe one of the most significant long-term consequences of AI and robotics will be a gradual reduction in the need for human labor,” Maximilian Martin , co-founder and CEO of Enhanced, said in a statement. “And I believe people will mostly allocate this free time to shared, real life human experiences. This creates scarcity, as sports and live experiences cannot be automated or replicated by AI. A live game, a concert, a record broken in front of a crowd — all those moments create goosebumps and become more valuable as everything else becomes digitally abundant. We believe the winners will be the companies that own the content, the stage and the ticket. With DEAG, Enhanced will have all three: owned sports and live IP, a broad promoter and venue network, and proprietary ticketing. And we believe we are acquiring it at a very attractive valuation.”
According to a press release, Enhanced plans to evaluate its options for increasing ownership, “potentially up to 100%.”
DEAG has locations in Germany, the U.K., Ireland, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and Italy, and organizes more than 6,000 live events per year, according to the company’s website . Companies operated under DEAG’s portfolio include DEAG Classics, which focuses on classical music performances; DEAG Concerts GmbH, which has worked with The Rolling Stones ; and KBK, which serves as a concert and artist agency serving touring acts including Deep Purple , Lenny Kravitz and Alice Cooper , as well as promoting the W-Festival in Frankfurt, Germany.
The promoter operates festivals including Barcelona’s Rock Fest and AIRBEAT ONE Dance Festival and Indian Spirit Festival, both in Germany. It also owns three venues throughout Europe, including myticket Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt, Germany; Salle Métropole in Lausanne, Switzerland; and Arches London Bridge in London.
Incoming CEO Markus Breitenecker will lead DEAG, which Enhanced Group says will continue operating under the existing management team.
