Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has invested €10 million in a project to create a new mineral water brand. He has become a co-owner of the project alongside the company Grupo Outeirinho, SIC Notícias reports.

Grupo Outeirinho has also invested €10 million in the project. As a result, the total investment planned to launch production amounts to €20 million, with Ronaldo accounting for 50 percent of the total investment.

Construction is currently underway on a mineral water production plant in the locality of Gostei, in Portugal’s Bragança region. The facility is expected to be completed and its products launched on Portuguese and international markets by the end of 2027.

An Italian design company is developing the new brand’s design. According to Grupo Outeirinho, the project is expected to create dozens of new jobs as it is implemented in stages. The company also states that it holds a 45 percent share of Portugal’s water market.

Cristiano Ronaldo has previously participated in projects related to mineral water production. In June 2023, he also became a co-owner of the Ursu9 mineral water brand, which was unveiled in Madrid.
