Why is it that you seem to run out of iPhone storage at the worst possible moment? The knee-jerk reaction is to start frantically trashing holiday pictures or deleting apps you actually use. But you do not need to butcher your camera roll or pay for more just to claw back a few precious gigabytes.
A couple of clever, built-in settings reclaim space without touching the things you care about. To keep things simple, here are the two best ways to clear that storage warning for good.

Offloading gives you the perfect middle ground. Navigate to Settings, General, and iPhone Storage , where your device neatly lists your apps from biggest to smallest. Tap on any culprits you don't need and hit Offload App .
This removes the app to free up storage while keeping your personal data, settings, and logins untouched. When you need it again, tap the grey cloud icon on your home screen to instantly reinstall it.
